Jesuit Sacramento: A Co-Divisional High School
1 School, 2 Divisions…Welcoming girls and boys starting in Fall 2027

Co-divisional is an innovative approach to learning and student development. Co-divisional means Jesuit High School Sacramento is one school featuring two academic divisions, a Boys Division and a Girls Division. This preserves the benefits of single-sex education while offering vibrant, integrated co-curricular experiences. Creation of two divisions makes this educational model different from a traditional co-ed school setting, where boys and girls are integrated in all aspects of their daily school life.

“This is a moment of transformation,” said President Chris Alling. “Guided by our Ignatian values and the pioneering spirit of our founders, we are shaping a future where innovation and tradition unite.”

Girls, both freshmen and transfers, will have the opportunity to attend Jesuit beginning with the 2027-2028 school year. Watch for more information about Open House and the Admissions process coming in summer 2026.

Rooted in tradition, centered in excellence, inspired by innovation, and guided by Ignatian values, we are building a strong and vibrant future for our students.

A co-divisional environment will:

  • Prepare students more fully for college, the workplace, and their personal lives
  • Foster empathy, collaboration, and mutual respect
  • Extend access to Jesuit, Catholic, and Ignatian education and formation to young women in the Sacramento region
  • Support enrollment strength, academic excellence, and the school’s sustained institutional health

Jesuit High School Sacramento has always strived to lead in advancing Catholic education, and this transition to a co-divisional model continues that legacy.
