Senior quotes and portraits from the 2024 yearbook on a cell phone

Greetings, Class of 2025!

It’s that time of year when we invite you to submit your senior quote/message for this year’s Cutlass yearbook. These quotes will be due by the end of the school day Friday, October 18th (so you have a few weeks to think about them).

This year we’d like to invite you to consider doing your senior “quote” as more of a message of farewell and gratitude to your fellow peers, friends, and family. It might include a note of thanks, a fond memory, gratitude toward parents and family, or shoutouts to friends, coaches, counselors, teachers, etc…. You may also incorporate an actual quotation from somebody or something, properly attributed, but you do not have to do so.

Most importantly, whatever you submit must be in keeping with Jesuit’s core values of becoming leaders of competence, conscience, and compassion–Men for Others–who strive to build a better world. Please note that anything inappropriate will not be published and may result in disciplinary action.

Guidelines are published in the accordion menu below to serve as a guide to help you write a quote that will be accepted.

Please use the Google Form linked below (and also emailed to seniors) to type in what you’d like to say in the space provided. The length is limited to 200 characters (including spaces). Please proofread carefully, and please submit by the end of the school day Friday, October 18th.

Feel free to contact us with any questions. Thank you so much!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is this a good quote?

As long as your quote meets the guidelines above, it should be approved. Feel free to reach out to our staff if you are unsure whether your quote will get approved or not.

What should I put as my quote?

What you put in your quote is up for you to decide! What speaks to you? To whom are you grateful? Who or what has inspired you for these last 4 years? Just make sure to follow our guidelines!

When should I turn in my quote?

As soon as possible! We accept quotes until October 18; however, the sooner you submit it the better.

What happens if I say something bad in my quote?

We will not publish it. The Yearbook is a public-facing professional publication that should represent the values of a Jesuit institution.

When/How will I know if my quote was approved?

We intend to review every quote before Thanksgiving Break. We will email you if there is an issue with your quote.

I forgot what I put as my quote. Could you tell me?

You will receive an email receipt once you submit your quote. The email contains all of your answers from the form.

Can I submit my quote more than once?

The Google Form will require you to be logged in to your student Google account, and will only allow each email to submit the form once. Please reach out to us with any questions.

What is the character limit, and can I have room for one more letter?

In order for your name and quote to fit nicely under your portrait, we have set a limit of 200 characters.

Characters include punctuation and spaces. Use www.wordcounter.net/character-count as a helpful tool to count your characters.

Do I have to use spaces between words?

When is the last day to submit quotes?

The last day is Friday, October 18, 2024 at 3:00 PM.
