On Saturday, Oct. 5, the Jesuit High School Sacramento alumni department will hold their Jesuit Big Bash for alumni, their families, and other members of the Jesuit community. The theme for this 21 and over event will be Oktoberfest flare.

The Big Bash is an opportunity for Alumni and Jesuit parents to come back and reconnect with their brothers that they made during their four years at Jesuit. Alumni Office Support Ms. Allison Hoferer, who is working on the Big Bash, wants to get as many people back to Jesuit as possible.

“I just want to get as many people to come and celebrate Jesuit,” Ms. Hoferer said. “It’s a really exciting time with the new stadium lights and the home games, and it is the weekend of our next home game versus Davis. We are really trying to encourage alumni who don’t live in the area to try to come for the weekend, go to the game and meet with their brothers and fellow friends and family and come to the Big Bash on Saturday night and just enjoy the fun atmosphere.”

The Big Bash also invites those who are not alumni like current parents or community members to see what Jesuit is like.

“The Jesuit Big Bash is [also] for current parents to experience it and see what their kids are going through at Jesuit,” Ms. Hoferer said. “On top of keeping the relationship with the alumni, it’s about building a community within the parents and the families that have current and past students here.”

The alumni events at Jesuit are special to the Jesuit community. The generations of Marauders that have come through Jesuit made Jesuit the place that it is today, and the Alumni events are there to capture their experience again.

 “[The Alumni events] are so successful because of all the different men who have come through here in multi-generations and multi-families,” Ms. Hoferer said. “Really that’s part of their community and network that’s what makes it so special to the people who are involved.”

The Jesuit Big Bash is a chance for alumni and those in the community to come together to see a football game on Friday, then attend the Jesuit Big Bash with their brothers and have a fun-filled night at Jesuit. Order tickets for this event here.
