Black Box alum, Sac State senior and Jesuit Alumni Intern

Black Box alum, Sac State senior and Jesuit Alumni Intern, Deniro is continuing his passion for the arts. In his professional career, with the help of the Jesuit Alumni Office and SigEp, Deniro got word of a contemporary short film being produced in the Sacramento area looking for young lead. Deniro earned the role of the young lead in the recently released Mickey’s Tree. As Mario, he finds himself battling depression after the loss of his father.

Alex Torres ’12: St. Ignatius’ teaching leads Jesuit High School students to consider the moral underpinning in each decision they make, and for Alex, that mode of thinking never stopped. He continued to study in the Ignatian way at Loyola Marymount where he earned a degree in Communications Studies and a Master of Science in Law (MSL) at McGeorge School of Law.

EL DORADO HILLS (CBS13) — You won’t hear 16-year-old Bassem Mansour, Jesuit High School class of 2023, gripe about getting out of his wheelchair. He’s proud to show his progress and he has come a long way.

“I just remember waking up in the ER not being able to feel or move anything below my chest,” he said.

Bassem was riding his bike in October 2020 when a pickup truck sideswiped him and then dragged him 50 feet.

“I was kind of laying there basically lifeless with just my head working,” said Bassem.
