Friday Night Lights come to Jesuit

News

Jesuit High School Sacramento is excited to announce the release of its 2024 football schedule, marking the countdown to the much-anticipated night game season opener. With just 30 days until the first home game, the Marauders are gearing up for an exhilarating season filled with competitive matchups. Fans and the Jesuit community can look forward to supporting the team as they strive for excellence on the field. Stay tuned for an action-packed season as the Marauders aim to build on their storied football tradition.

The first Friday night football game in Marauder Stadium will be on August 30, 2024, vs Rio Americano High School. Jesuit will still host the game, even if the construction and installation of the permanent lights still need to be completed, using commercial industrial-grade temporary lights.

“We look forward to engaging with local businesses to create a great community environment around Friday night football games. Operating an athletics program with stadium lights will allow all student-athletes equitable access to practice and games without mortgaging class time. Soccer, track and field, and lacrosse will also benefit from night events. This school year will be considered a historic moment for those programs,“ shared Athletic Director Hank Weinberger.
