Outstanding Self-Portrait Submissions by Jesuit into Local Museum Exhibit Win Awards and Accolades
Once again Jesuit High School was very well represented at the Crocker Art Museum High School Self-Portrait Show.
Ed Novinsky ’72, artist and Jesuit Studio Art instructor said, “Oscar Econome ’19 entered the strongest painting a student could paint!”
Jack Minor ’20 took an Honorable Mention for his untitled pen and ink.
And, Parker Sima ’19 won “Best in Show” with Off the Wall a spray paint creation.
The Crocker Self Portrait Show runs thru May 5th. Comprising of artworks in diverse media, the exhibition presents an exploration of “self.” The Crocker Art Museum show has been a longtime Sacramento tradition, showcasing self-portraits of high school artists within our region.
