Don’t be crabby, support the Jesuit Crab Feed
Jesuit High School Sacramento will host its annual Crab Feed on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2025 at 6 p.m. to 10 p.m in the Father Barry Gym. This event is an opportunity for families and community members to come together for a night of great food and drinks, all to support Jesuit students.
The Boosters Club is in charge of orchestrating the event. They hope that in addition to aiding students, the Crab Feed will help foster Jesuit’s community.
“The goal of the event is bring the Jesuit community together for a fun, casual night filled with delicious crab, camaraderie, and dancing, all while raising funds for our amazing students,” said President of the Boosters Club Ms. Kristi Babb.
The Crab Feed benefits many departments on campus, including the athletic department. The events that Boosters put on will significantly support Jesuit’s spring sports.
“They are going to help out with a significant amount of unbudgeted travel expenses for spring sports,” said Athletic Director Mr. Hank Weinberger. “[The Boosters help spring sports] that don’t have ticket revenue gate so they can lean on to be able to pay for travel.”
Mr. Weinberger is enthusiastic for the upcoming event, and believes that it’s a great way to get involved in our community.
“I just would encourage all of our athletics families to continue to support the boosters, whether that’s going to a crab feed, buying a booster pass, [or] getting involved,” Mr. Weinberger said. “[The Boosters are] a really good group of people who are in it to support Jesuit athletics and Jesuit High School, and they are a great partnership and we really look forward to another great event.”
