On Oct. 12, Jesuit High School Sacramento’s annual Homecoming dance will take place.

A highly anticipated event among students, homecoming is an occasion for all to participate in a classic high school tradition. Students of all grades from Jesuitare welcome to attend with a date, alone, or with friends.

Cole Arnold ’25 believes that Homecoming fosters a sense of unity among students and enables them to meet new people.

“Students should go to homecoming because it really revolves around the community at Jesuit,” Cole said. “All the whole school is there, everyone’s there. I know a lot of my friends have met significant others or even new friends at homecoming, so it’s a time to kind of step out of your comfort zone and grow in that community.”

Jesuit’s Student Leadership has worked hard to turn this event into a festive celebration. Their thorough planning will make homecoming into a night to remember.

“These guys have put in so much effort and time into planning an evening that will be really memorable and exciting and fun for their classmates,” said Student Activities Director Mr. Peter Ferrari. “So I think that [students] should just come and be a part of the community like Cole was talking about and have a fun night with their classmates.”

This year’s theme is “Nightmare on American River Drive,”

“October lies in the season of Fall and Halloween, kind of spooky,” George Srabian ‘25 said. “So we [wanted to] do a Halloween themed Homecoming, which we thought was a really fun and creative idea.”

Homecoming takes place from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., on Oct 12 in the Barry Gymnasium. Tickets will be available until Oct. 9 at 3 p.m.
