Jesuit Auction: a Party in Palm Beach
On Saturday, March 22, Jesuit High School Sacramento will host its 53rd Annual Jesuit Auction & Gala.
Every year, the Department of Advancement and parent volunteers spend months preparing for this event. The aim of the auction is to raise money to support students financially.
“All the money raised goes directly back to supporting our students and tuition assistance,” said Director of Advancement Ms. Kimberly Kalmbach. “Jesuit intentionally charges less than the true costs to educate each student. We do this in line with our mission to ensure every qualified student has the opportunity to attend Jesuit regardless of their financial circumstances.”
Ms. Kalmbach hopes that this year’s exciting theme will help generate excitement.
“The theme is Party in Palm Beach,” Ms. Kalmbach said. “We determine the theme the summer of the previous year and always try to pick a theme that is fun & festive and creates some buzz for the event. We have some different live auction items that we are anticipating will drum up even more excitement for the event and raise more money. Our goal is to raise over $800,000.”
President Mr. Chris Alling looks forward to the event and commends all volunteers for supporting the Jesuit community.
“I’m excited,” Mr. Alling said. “It’s a delicious dinner, but more importantly it’s incredible company. For some of these people, they’ve been coming to these auctions for 10-15 years. I love being in a room with that much commitment to something that means so much to me personally. When we go to the crab feed and I see you guys bringing in crab and hustling food out, it’s humbling. There’s so many student and parent volunteers and I love seeing it.”
More details on the auction can be found here, and tickets can be purchased online here. Make sure to get them while they’re still on sale to support a great cause!
