This Sunday, Oct. 20, Jesuit High School Sacramento opens its campus to the larger Sacramento community at its annual Open House.

At the event, teachers and students will welcome incoming students to give a sense of what life at Jesuit offers. Counselor Ms. Gianna Wheeler feels that Open House is a valuable opportunity for families considering Jesuit.

“Open House is a great time for prospective students and parents to come to Jesuit, to see our beautiful campus, and to learn about all the amazing programs we offer and to really decide if it’s a good fit for them and for their high school journey,” Ms. Wheeler said.

Director Of Music Mr. Michael Loya believes that Open House will be a special moment for all.

“[After teaching] public education for many years prior, I think Jesuit’s Open House is a lot different, because it’s structured in a way that allows exploring,” Mr. Loya said. “[Open House] is structured in a way that allows students to feel the culture rather than go from point ‘A’ to [point] ‘B’.”

At Open House, prospective students can discover different activities to participate in at Jesuit. Harry O’Hagin ’26, who is volunteering at multiple tables, hopes to show off Jesuit’s full potential.

“I am helping out with Robotics and Mathletes during Open House and am hoping to foster interest in STEM for these students so they can grow themselves and help Jesuit grow as well,” Harry said.

Mr. Loya encourages potential students to take advantage of the variety Jesuit provides.

“There are so many different opportunities that there is a spot for every student to be involved at Jesuit,” Mr. Loya said. “If you want it, there is a pathway to make things work out.”

Jesuit High School’s Open House will take place on Oct. 20, from 12 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Signup is available on the Jesuit website – all prospective students are encouraged to attend.
