Following Scheduling Collaborations, counselors will begin meeting with students one-on-one to finalize their course requests. Scheduling meetings will take place from January 17 through March 15. Students will be emailed a calendar appointment for an individual meeting with their counselor and we ask parents to help them understand the importance of attending these meetings. 

During their Scheduling Collaboration Period, students will make their initial course requests in PowerSchool. They will only be able to select the courses that they are eligible for; eligibility is based upon the prerequisites set for each course and the student’s official semester grades. 2024-2025 Course Catalog and pre-requisite information may be found on the Academics page.  

Students should review initial requests with parents prior to their individual meeting with their counselor and discuss any expectations, desires or concerns about their preliminary courseload. Counselors will meet one-on-one to advise on course balance or rigor for each student’s college plan, notate any academic issues or courses they may elect to appeal for, provide course curriculum information sheets for advanced level courses and finalize requests. 

After the individual student meeting, each family will receive an email from DocuSign with the electronic copy of the Graduation Progress & Course Selection Sheet. This form requires a student and parent signature within two days of your student’s appointment. Please keep an eye out for the DocuSign email as this step completes the course request process.
