1. Application for Admission & Fee

Complete the online portion of your application for admission and make sure to hit the submit button when completed. After submitting, wait 24 hours for the application to process. After the waiting period, login and proceed to Step 2 (below). A $50 application fee can be paid online after submitting your application.

2. Academic Record Report

Please wait to email your school until your son’s semester grades have been posted.

We request that your son’s current school send us a transcript for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade, and any standardized test results taken during those years. You will need to obtain the email address for the person responsible for your son’s academic record reports at his current school. This could be an office manager or Registrar. Email the Academic Record Report directly to that person. You only need to email this form to his current school as they should have his complete educational records from all schools he has attended.

3. Principal/Counselor, English & Math Teacher Recommendation Forms

You will need to obtain the email addresses for the person responsible to complete the above forms for your son. Email the correct link to the appropriate person to complete by the due date listed.

The recommendation forms and academic record requests will be available to you from the parent portal once you submit the application.

4. Video Applicant Interview

Please submit a short video (60 to 90-seconds) that answers the following questions:

  1. What attributes and experiences do you imagine will make you successful at Jesuit High School?
  2. What does “Being a Man for Others” mean to you?

Don’t forget to introduce yourself at the beginning of the video and be creative! Learn more about this video and see samples»

5. Tuition Assistance Forms

Financial need is assessed independently of admission qualifications. We do not offer academic or athletic scholarships. If you have any questions, please contact Student Accounts in the business office at (916) 480-2116. For more information, please visit: Financial Aid

6. HSPT Exam

The High School Placement Test (HSPT) is a standardized test used by all Catholic Schools. At the end of your application, please sign-up for one of the two dates offered. For incoming freshmen only.

7. Additional Letters of Recommendation (Optional)

Each applicant has the right to submit additional letters of recommendation for the admissions committee to consider. Examples may include pastor, faith leader, coach, or troop leader.

Sending to a religious/faith leader

Each applicant is encouraged but not required to send the online link to the recommendation form to his religious leader for verification of involvement. Applicants who are not currently active in their faith can submit an explanation letter in lieu of the Pastor/Minister/Faith Leader online recommendation, as to why they would choose to apply to a faith-based program, specifically Jesuit High School. This form can be completed by a Youth Group Minister or anyone who can attest to your son’s faith involvement. Jesuit High School welcomes families of all faiths; contributing to our belief that the diversity of our community lends itself to the fullest and engaging learning experience.

8. Parent / Guardian Letter (Optional)

The Parent/Guardian letter is an optional admissions checklist item that is available to families who would like to provide more insight into their son’s school experience in 7th and 8th grade. This is an opportunity to give context and perspective on a situation or circumstance that may come through in the application that you feel needs to be addressed in further detail. Submitting or not submitting this optional item has no bearing on your son’s admissions decision other than providing further information on your son’s middle school experience. Submissions can be made in the long form text box or uploaded as a word document.
