Jesuit High School, Sacramento, is currently looking to fill a Volleyball Coach position. This is a seasonal (Spring) stipend position.

Job Summary

Volleyball coach is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the team, including player development, practice planning, game strategy, team discipline, and communication with athletes, parents, and school administration. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assess individual player skills and strengths to determine team positions. 
  • Develop and implement practice plans to improve technical skills, tactical understanding, and physical conditioning. 
  • Provide individual and group instruction to enhance player performance. 
  • Create effective & adaptive game & competition strategy.
  • Foster a positive team culture emphasizing sportsmanship, teamwork, and accountability. 
  • Address player concerns and conflicts in a constructive manner. 
  • Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration. 
  • Collaborate effectively with other volleyball program coaches & athletic department as necessary throughout the season.
  • Manage team equipment and uniforms. 
  • Ensure compliance with school and league regulations, including eligibility requirements. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Successful prior High School or equivalent club level coaching experience
  • Ability to work with multiple levels of players and ability to develop all skill levels
  • Strong understanding of volleyball rules, techniques, and strategies 
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
