Michael Wood ’99
Principal

Michael Wood is the principal at Jesuit High School. He began his career in Jesuit Secondary Education at Loyola High School in Los Angeles where he spent 12 years as a Theology teacher and Dean of Students.

Michael graduated from Jesuit in 1999 and he shared his motivation for accepting for the position as Jesuit’s principal noting that “It is an honor to return to my alma mater as a leader and colleague to share my strengths, experiences, and passion with the Jesuit ministry of my origin.”

Three Jesuit Marauders Selected as Semifinalists
2025 National Merit Scholarship Program

Congratulations to seniors Luke Pryor, Max Troppmann, and Ben Yiakis for being named Semifinalists in the National Merit Scholarship Competition! These three students are among the 16,000 across the country whose PSAT scores last fall ranked among the best in the nation, earning them the chance to win a coveted National Merit Scholarship. Good luck to them as they continue in the competition!

Honor Roll – Semester 2 for 2023 2024

We no longer automatically prepare an Honor Roll certificate for those students who earn a place on the Honor Roll. If you would like a printed certificate, please complete the Google Form here. Students may pick up their printed certificates from the Office of Academics during Community Period on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Please allow 48 hours after you make your request to pick up the certificate.

Permits are $40 for the 2024-2025 school year and are now available for purchase. Permits from the 2023-2024 school year are no longer valid. Purchase online by clicking the link above and pick up in the Dean’s Office starting Wednesday, August 14, 2024.
