Michael Wood ’99
Principal

Michael Wood is the principal at Jesuit High School. He began his career in Jesuit Secondary Education at Loyola High School in Los Angeles where he spent 12 years as a Theology teacher and Dean of Students.

Michael graduated from Jesuit in 1999 and he shared his motivation for accepting for the position as Jesuit’s principal noting that “It is an honor to return to my alma mater as a leader and colleague to share my strengths, experiences, and passion with the Jesuit ministry of my origin.”

Jesuit CIF-SJS fall sports - cross country, water polo, and football all in section playoff action Nov. 13

Sacramento, CA – Jesuit High School Marauder Athletics will have a jam-packed day Saturday, November 13, 2021, with CIF Sac Joaquin Section (CIF-SJS) playoffs in full swing. Cross Country and Water Polo will vie for Division 1 Section Championship Titles while Football takes the field in a Quarterfinal contest.

Christmas Tree Lane (CTL)

Jesuit High School opened its doors 60 years ago. A visionary group of Loyola Guild volunteers raised money to open a school that had yet to admit its first students. When the first Christmas Tree Lane (CTL) took place, the land on which the school stands today had not been purchased yet! We are incredibly thankful for the rich Loyola Guild traditions that have evolved over the decades, which help to shape the holiday event we all love and enjoy today!

Student Parking Reminders
A message from the Dean

Neighbors and other commuters have recently reported several incidents of dangerous and/or distracted driving by individuals coming into our campus. All laws in the state vehicle code relating to the operation of motor vehicles are to be obeyed when driving on or near the school grounds. Excessive speed or careless driving on campus endangers pedestrians and everyone on the road. This type of reckless driving renders a student liable to suspension of his driving and parking privileges and will result in disciplinary action.
