UCLA: balanced and beautiful
The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) was founded in 1919, in the Westwood neighborhood of Los Angeles. This renowned university offers a strong student life in addition to a top-of-the-line education.
Since UCLA is part of the UC system, it has many advantages over other universities. For example, they share a library with the entirety of the UC system, which allows them to access literature that many other universities do not provide. For me, this definitely gives UCLA a leg up on many other non-UC universities.
Sleep well, it’s Finals Week!
Although Christmas break is right around the corner, something a lot less exciting stands in the way: finals.
With the ability to make or break your grade, knowing how to study for finals can be a daunting task, especially if it is your first time taking one at Jesuit. Sam David ’28 echoes these sentiments.
University of Southern California offers vast array of opportunities
The University of Southern California (USC) was founded in 1880, in beautiful and sunny Los Angeles, California. With rigorous academics and a strong student life scene, USC enables students to enjoy the experience of furthering their education.
USC consists of 23 schools, each focusing on a different field of study. This ranges from the USC School of Cinematic Arts to the USC Gould School of Law. With a variety of these colleges to choose from, USC allows students to study their field in a more refined way.
Alumni Spirit Shines
On Saturday, Sept. 28, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Jesuit High School Sacramento will be hosting their first of many Alumni & Family Monthly Masses at the Phelan Chapel of the North American Martyrs. While the mass is for alumni, it is not exclusive and can be attended by anyone.
Fr. Harris believes that these masses can help people rekindle their connection with Jesuit.
Ms. Katrina Fox brings comfort and support to Jesuit
This summer, Jesuit High School Sacramento added to their wellness counseling team with the hiring of Wellness Counselor Ms. Katrina Fox.
In her previous position at Saint Francis High School, Ms. Fox worked as a school counselor and was the moderator for California Scholarship Federation (CSF) and senior student council. Her current role at Jesuit focuses on providing mental health support to students in need of such support.
